Syed Farhan Ali Bokhari is an experienced journalist who has served as the Managing Trustee of MICT for many years. In addition to his association with MICT, he has worked hard to promote philanthropy in Pakistan Additionally, he has written extensively and made many TV appearances on the need to tackle poverty in Pakistan – a theme at the center of his interest to promote MICT’s work.

Zeba Bukhari was appointed the Honorary Chairperson of MICT in 2018 by the then Board of Trustees. She brings in over four decades of development and emergency experience especially related to women and children. She has served in the United Nations in several countries as well as in all provinces and territories of Pakistan. Zeba remained very active in extra curricular activities in her academic life. She is the recipient of the most talented student of Pakistan award as well as a Gold Medal for being the most well rounded student in college. Zeba derives pleasure from working with communities in far flung areas and has travelled extensively including after joining MICT. She is strongly committed to playing a positive role to influence the lives of vulnerable people.

Dr. Ali Hasanain is an Associate Professor of Economics at the Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS). He served as the Head of Department from 2019 to 2022.Dr. Hasanain’s research focuses primarily on how economic governance can be improved through reform initiatives, particularly through technological progress.Dr. Hasanain’s research and policy analysis has been published in leading Economics and general interest journals, and been featured in The Guardian, Economist, Huffington Post, BBC, Al-Jazeera, and various other international and national media outlets, as well as been the topic of the feature story of the World Bank’s global website.He is currently on the board of the National School of Public Policy. From 2022 to 2024 he was a Non-Resident Senior Fellow at the Atlantic Council. Dr. Hasanain received his PhD from George Mason University in 2010, and post-doctorates from Oxford and Princeton universities, where he was selected as a Global Leaders Fellow.

Barrister Zainab N. Khan is a Senior Associate at the Islamabad Office of ABS & Co. Since joining ABS & Co. in 2018, she has undertaken civil litigation working on land matters, commercial and construction disputes, as well as service matters. Today, Zainab primarily carries out corporate and transactional work on behalf of the firm. Her advisory work consists of drafting and vetting of various contracts and agreements, including non-disclosure agreements (NDAs), as well as Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) involving various national and international entities and organizations. She also renders legal opinions regarding any legal issues faced by clients. Through her time at ABS & Co., Zainab has garnered experience advising both private and public-sector entities. In 2019, she assisted in successfully defending the Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) before the Federation International de Hockey (FIH). Zainab is an ADR Group (ADRg) Accredited Civil & Commercial Mediator, having certified in London. She holds a Diploma in Law and an LL.B. (Hons.) from the University of London International Programmes. After completing her LL.B., she started the Bar Professional Training Course (BPTC) at BPP Law School in London. In November 2016, Zainab was Called to the Bar of England & Wales by The Honourable Society of Lincoln’s Inn. Prior to studying law, she studied in the U.S., having completed her High School in Michigan. If time permits, she enjoys volunteering with the South East Asia Leadership Academy (SEALA) as a member of the Administrative Team.

Syed Asad Nawab is an associate member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan. He is currently working as Corporate Finance Manager at British American Tobacco, a multinational manufacturing company. In his pervious role, Asad led the Commercial Business Planning function at Zong (CMPak), a leading telecom operator. Prior to that he oversaw Financial Reporting and Corporate Compliance at Fauji Fertilizer Company, a listed manufacturing company. Earlier in his career at PwC, he executed and supervised audits, forensic reviews, and advisory engagements across multiple sectors.

Nasreen Iqbal is the Executive Director of Grammar school Rawalpindi and Center for Peace/Heritage and Sustainable Development. She is a graduate from Kinnaird College and has a B-Ed degree. She has received training in school administration from Portland State University USA and on Conflict Management across Cultures at school for International Training SITV ennont USA. She has been an educator since over four decades and runs an effective school system called Grammar School Rawalpindi and Centre for Peace/Heritage and Education for Sustainable Development. These organisations are recognised by UNESCO and British Council as lead education institutions in Pakistan and South Asia: - Member of Board of Trustees Development in Literacy. Member Board of Governor Lawrence College Ghora Gall Murree. Individual Consultant UNESCO. Lead Member ASP Net Associated Schools of UNESCO. International Master Teacher Trainer since 2004.

Narjis Zaidi is an award-winning journalist and social activist, writing since three decades for The News. She has reported extensively on gender and human rights issues, in addition to actively campaigning for gender rights, social welfare and protection. She has been recognized for her writing on violence against women and children through the President’s Defender of Human Rights Award (2012), Women in Excellence Award (2010), President’s Fatima Jinnah Gold Medal in Journalism (2004), and Media Women Award (2003). Narjis Zaidi has trained more than 1000 journalists across Pakistan, AJK and Gilgit-Baltistan in gender sensitive reporting. She has helped develop training curricula for media persons, and frequently delivers lectures on media best practices and mass communication for university departments. She has been part of international media alliances on VAW, and represented Pakistan at United Nations and other multilateral forums. She founded the Volunteers Foundation in 1996, a community based organized working in slum locales and among refugee communities on education and skills. She is a founding member of several government shelter homes, later serving as Chairperson of the Human Rights Center Islamabad (2008/2010/2012) and Rawalpindi (2015/2017). She helped establish Crisis Centers for Women across multiple cities in Punjab and Sindh during the 1990s and early 2000s in partnership with government departments. She is currently a board member, and former President of Bardasht Pakistan (2013-2016); Chairperson Kashana Shelter for Girl Children (Punjab Government) (2015 to date); Chairperson Society for Protection and Advocacy for Rights of Children (SPARC) (2020 to date); and Member Press Council of Pakistan (2023 to date). Narjis Zaidi holds an MA in Mass Communication from Karachi University.

MBBS; MCPS; FCPS (Pak); PhD (London) Professor of Haematology, Riphah International University, Islamabad Maj Gen Suhaib Ahmed (R), HI (M) graduated from King Edward Medical College Lahore in 1980. He is a Fellow of Haematology from the College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan and also has PhD in molecular genetics from University College London. He has served in the Armed Forces for over 32 years where he mostly worked at the prestigious Armed Forces Institute of Pathology (AFIP). In 1994 he started the first clinical service for prenatal diagnosis of thalassaemia and other genetic disorders in Pakistan. He has a vast experience of doing prenatal diagnosis. His landmark research on extended family screening for thalassaemia is adopted as the most feasible approach for carrier screening in countries where consanguineous marriage is common. His contributions in molecular diagnosis of haematological malignancies, infectious diseases and forensic DNA testing have also been widely acknowledged. He has over 70 scientific publications in International and National medical journals. He has supervised FCPS, MPhil and PhD training of a large number of postgraduate students. He has also authored many books including Manual of PCR in Diagnostic Pathology and Genetic Haemoglobin Disorders in Pakistan. He is the past President of Pakistan Society of Haematology and the founding President of Association for Molecular Pathology Pakistan. Presently he is working as Professor of Haematology at Riphah International University, Islamabad. He also heads the Genetics Resource Centre Rawalpindi that specializes in the Prenatal diagnosis of genetic disorders. He is also the current President of Pakistan Thalassaemia Welfare Society and Autism Society of Pakistan. His other interests include designing and manufacturing of electromedical equipment. His interest in astrophotography is also widely acknowledged.

Aqeel Jafri holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from NED University and a Commonwealth MBA. He began his professional career with the Alternative Energy Development Board (AEDB) in 2005, where he served in various capacities, gaining extensive experience in policy and regulatory affairs, project appraisal and development, and broader power sector initiatives. He is currently serving as Director (International Cooperation / Policy) at the Private Power and Infrastructure Board (PPIB). Throughout his career, Mr. Jafri has been actively engaged in the development of renewable energy projects — including wind, solar, and bagasse-based power generation — through private sector participation under government policies. He served as the project officer and focal person for Pakistan’s first two wind power projects and played a key role in formulating and reviewing renewable energy security documents and project agreements. His contributions extend to national energy policy formulation, particularly the development of Pakistan’s net metering regime, where he provided crucial technical input and support in drafting the net metering regulations.
